"The first part of production focused on the development of the company's new work "Oriente Plus, A Caribbean Story" written by Pedro De Senna. It was a culmination of this stage of development that we welcomed new collaborators, Oat Jenner and Ivani Ca.

 

This phase was extremely productive in-depth research exploring stronger methodologies of fusing and partnering vocal delivery and sign language through sign dance and sign dance theatre. The result was an amazing team effort that deepened the performance language to stronger modes of authentic artistic expression. Isolte Avila choreographed this structure, and David Bower led the linguistic exploration.

 

We took the work to Graz, and Angelina Schwammerlin began laying down the score and building herself into the new work Robert Corcoran, along with Kandy Rohman provided much-welcomed feedback. Robert Corcoran was able to document the process.
